Strategy & Planning

What’s the difference between strategy & planning?

Plans typically focus closely on an organization's long-term goals, which can often take place over the next three to five years.

A strategy is an idea, concept or design developed to achieve a set short-term goal and usually happens within a shorter time frame, such as a year.

Strategy should push your organization outside its comfort zone - dare to be different!

The successful implementation of any strategy lies in the following:

  • Discovery: Understanding your brand/point of difference and the competitive landscape

  • Goals: Defining clear goals & deliverables to manage expectations

  • Ideas: Brainstorming creative ways to deliver the messaging

  • Campaign: Marketing tools to be considered – PR, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Events, Influencers (experts), etc.

  • Measurement Metrics: Agreeing on campaign measurement metrics

When developing a strategy, our team:

  • First understands the goals and sets a timeline

  • Defines a competitive outcome our client’s want to achieve

  • Builds an integrated set of drivers to set you apart on the playing field

  • Adds flexibility (because a strategy may need to be tweaked as it unfolds to make it more successful!)

  • Develops the campaign to implement the strategy

Whatever stage you are at in your go-to-market strategy, our team can hone in on the key drivers for success.
